Hublot has opened its flagship boutique in Japan on the posh Namiki street in Ginza, Tokyo, the first ever store in the country and the 35th Hublot boutique to be inaugurated thus far.

Mindful of the current rebuilding efforts being undertaken in the country, Hublot took the occasion to donate 10,000 sets of colored pencils by Caran d’Ache to the Kids Earth Fund in Japan, to assist children affected by the tsunami. An auction will also be held to raise funds for children affected by the Tohoku Earthquake, featuring a unique King Power Red Devil.

In celebration of the boutique opening, Hublot also underscored its footballing heritage by displaying the “FIFA Winner’s Trophy for 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil”, the first public release of the coveted trophy in Japan.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by luminaries the likes of legendary Sumo wrestler Mr. Sho Hakuho; Mr. Seigo Narazaki, the Japan League’s Player of the Year; Ms. Harumi Torii, founder of non-profit organization Kids Earth Fund; Hublot CEO Mr. Jean-Claude Biver; Hublot Managing Director Mr. Ricardo Guadalupe; and Mr. Emmanuel Prat, President of Hublot Japan and LVMH Japan.
