Who knew glamour and ruggedness would make a perfect pair? Well, the art of fusion masters at Hublot did all along. With the release of its Big Bang Carbon Bezel Baguette collection, Hublot reminds us of its unique vision and expertise in combining utilitarian materials such as rubber and in this case, carbon fiber, with those of a more precious nature — like gemstones and gold — in its cutting-edge horological creations. This particular collection consists of four models in a delectable mix of candy-like colors: Diamonds, sapphires, rubies and tsavorites.

The robust, sporty, lightweight and super strong pieces, measuring 44mm in diameter, are made from 100 per-cent carbon fiber, including the dial. Then, to inject a touch of glamour and chic, 48 baguette cut precious stones are adeptly added to an otherwise rugged bezel. It is brilliant. Equipped with the HUB4100 movement, the self-winding chronograph comes with a completely black date — made possible by a combination of black PVD, ruthenium and black gold coating — a 42-hour power reserve and an impressive (especially for a jewelry watch) water resistance of 100 meters.
