Macau’s City of Dreams staged an impressive display of fireworks, pyrotechnics and multimedia 3D animation during its grand opening back in June this year.

However, at that time, the Grand Hyatt Macau, one of three hotels on the resort’s grounds, was still an unfinished product. But the wait is over, as the hotel recently opened its doors to the public.

Adding 791 guest rooms to the City of Dreams, the Grand Hyatt Macau is being branded as a top destination for business travelers and MICE events venue.

That claim is supported by a variety of conference facilities available at the Grand Hyatt, including a Grand Ballroom, which can host a banquet for 1,500 people, and the sun-drenched Salão do Teatro which features an open show kitchen for up to 50 chefs.

For outdoor events, there’s a spacious pool deck, which frames a 40m pool, replete with a stylish water lounge, cabanas, landscaped gardens and a poolside restaurant.

The hotel’s F&B offerings are spin-offs from two highly successful establishments in Grand Hyatt’s culinary stable – Made in China (from Grand Hyatt Beijing) and mezza9 (from Grand Hyatt Singapore).

Other facilities at the hotel include the 25,000 sq ft Isala spa with 15 treatment rooms and suites, most of which are bathed in sunlight, and feature private bathrooms, whirlpools, steam rooms and freeze showers.
