Cloudy Bay Celebrates Launch Of Sauvignon Blanc 2009

Cloudy Bay celebrated the launch of its latest vintage Sauvignon Blanc 2009 with an elegant evening party in the garden of Grand Hyatt Singapore last month.

Over 100 trade and media guests embarked on a mini wine-trip, under the expert ‘tutelage’ of Cloudy Bay’s winemaker Nick Lane (pictured below), who was in town for the launch.

Predictably, guests were greeted at the event with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc 2009, served up with a free-flow of oysters and seafood delights.

2009 had been an exceptional year for Cloudy Bay, and it shows in the Sauvignon Blanc 2009, which boasts of generous aromas ranging from tropical fruits like guava and mango to lime and sweet herbs. On the palate, the word ‘generous’ comes to mind again, and the fruity wine leaves a long, fresh and vibrant finish.

The mini-wine trip continued with other Cloudy Bay signature wines, including the Chardonnay 2006, Te Koko 2006, Pinot Noir 2007 and Late Harvest Riesling 2004, all thoughtfully paired with scrumptious buffet spreads to titillate and satiate taste buds.
