Chanel Tweed Eyewear

As we have mentioned before, Chanel’s Spring Summer 2015 Ready-to-Wear collection explores numerous facets of tweed. Chanel is once again imbuing tweed with the face of modernity and an absolute elegance. Tweed is a signature emblem of Chanel that is tirelessly revisited by Karl Lagerfeld in his Ready-to-Wear and Haute Couture collections, and it now lends an original twist to the sunglasses in the Tweed collection.

The woven look of tweed is recreated by injecting color pigments into acetate plates, which are then laminated, cut and sculpted to create the desired tweed effect. The collection is defined by colors, XXL volumes and curves. Frames are available in a maxi butterfly or an elongated square shape, and in a cheerful summer palette of yellow, blue, green or red, or in more low-key shades of black, grey or brown.

We can’t deny that there is quite an extensive variety of eyewear to choose from this season. It might be tough to make a decision when it comes to the point where you have to choose a pair of sunglasses that best fit you. We’re spoilt for choice too. All things considered, it wouldn’t hurt to lift your summer wardrobe with the light-hearted, feminine elegance of sunglasses from the Tweed collection.

The collection will be available in Chanel boutiques from May 2015.
