Renown Malaysian Designer Jovian Mandagie best known for his gorgeous baju kurung designs has launched his first casual line for woman on the fashion portal Zalora. This label called Jovian Femme features 15-piece collections of slim-cut pants, sorbet-coloured day dresses and trendy basics that can take you from day to night. Prices range form $89 for a top to $199 for dresses.
His baju Kurung’s combine the traditional aesthetic of the loose-fitting Malay costumes with a modern twist and the 27 year old Indonesian-born designer is a favorite among the who’s who in Malaysia’s entertainment and social circuits. His celebrity fans include singers Siti Nurhaliza and Sharifah Aini, as well as actresses Erra Fazira and Maya Karin.
