Better known for masculine horological wonders and a sense of classicism, Swiss manufacture Blancpain is nevertheless in touch with its feminine side, as this unprecedented shaped watch. As you can tell from the picture, Blancpain hasn’t made an actual picture available yet for what they say is their first-ever shaped watch.

The official release from Blancpain says this model will be issued in a series of 14 for Valentine’s Day 2010. The release goes on to note that the watch is set with more than 500 diamonds and pink sapphires and houses Blancpain’s Calibre 615, the smallest automatic movement in the world to date.

Other small touches to note include the combination of pink and white mother-of-pearl for the dial, alongside the pink sapphires and diamonds on the case, to create the heart symbol. This matches nicely with the heart-shaped diamond acting as the 12 o’clock marker.
