Here’s WTF’s most interesting new music video release of the week, Grimes – Genesis!

Claire Boucher, commonly known as Grimes, released her self-directed video for “Genesis” recently. The record is featured on her latest album, Visions, which is available now on iTunes. With all that’s going on in the visual it’s hard to put your finger on what truly inspired the idea behind it, but I’m pretty sure that The Fifth Element had something to do with it.

Real life meets Anime – Grimes hangs out with a sultry, dread-locked Power Rangers villain, with pink radical hair, donning some form of exoskeleton (Lady Gaga inspired perhaps?) one presumes could also double up as a chastity belt.
