Audemars Piguet has launched an exquisite limited edition of the Tradition collection, to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup in Hong Kong.

Founded 137 years ago, Audemars Piguet has enjoyed a synergistic partnership with the Hong Kong Jockey Club for the sponsorship of the AP QEII Cup race since 1999. An annual highlight for the regional equestrian community, the Cup has a long and quite literally regal history: it was founded in 1975 to mark a visit to Hong Kong by Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip.

Taking design cues from a vintage cushion-shaped pocket watch, the Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup 2012 wristwatch features a distinctive cushion-shaped 18-carat pink gold case. The plush case, coupled with the white lacquered dial and pink gold applied Arabic numerals and hands, lend the timepiece a timelessly elegant and clean aesthetic, sure to be appreciated by the genteel polo playing circle.
